INTRODUCTION
SH1 was extended from Greville Rd in Albany to Orewa, approximately 20km. We monitored and reported on the overall programme (a combination of the various contractor’s programmes) for the project managers (Serco).
This was split into several sections:
- A1 - through the Albany Hills – Greville Road to Okura; Contractor was Stevensons.
- A2 – Okura to Silverdale; Contractor was Downer.
- B1 – Silverdale to Orewa Interchange; Contractor was Ross Reid.
Downer also constructed the Link Drive connection through to Orewa.
